Footwear

  • Use hiking shoes or mountaineering boots that t well and are comfortable, are waterproof and lightweight. They should be breathable and support your ankles to reduce injuries when walking on rocky terrain and in mud.
  • Choose cotton socks with no seams.
  • In the summer, you can also wear trainers with suitable soles for rocky terrain.
  • You should also take sandals or fliflops to relax your feet at the end of each stage, so that your feet can breathe in case of blisters or sores.

Never use new footwear on the Camino!
